You can choose this type of stitch on a sewing machine and youâre ready to go.To do it by hand, youâll need the following equipment:Thread (the same colour as the fabric)A sewing needleScissorsPinsYour first job is to thread the needle. The size of the needle will depend on what youâre sewing. For jeans, you can take a medium sized needle.Regular practice will help a lot! (Source: Gadini)To thread the needle, slightly wet the end of the thread so that the frayed ends stay together. Slide the needle to the middle of the thread and make a knot with the two ends of the thread. This will allow you to thicken the thread by doubling it. You can also use embroidery thread as itâs more resistant than regular thread. Once again, this will depend on your project.Find the best sewing classes London on Superprof.Once your needle and thread are ready, youâll need to get your fabric. You can start by practising on offcuts or scraps in order to understand an overlock stitch before you try it out on your next project.Choose two pieces of fabric and place them right sides together. Make sure that the two pieces are lined up. Use pins to hold them in pla ce before sewing and make sure that the pins are perpendicular to the direction of the seam.Start by passing the needle through the outer piece of fabric without piercing the other piece. You need to pass the needle through the right side of the piece. By sewing between the two pieces of fabric, the knot you made earlier will be hidden in the stitching. The seam allowances, the space between the seam and the edge of the fabric, needs to 3 or 4mm.Once the needleâs back out, sew back along the stitching and sew the two pieces together until you get back to the first hole. Once you get to this stage, you need to loop the thread around the seam allowance. This is your first overlock stitch.Find amazing sewing classes Glasgow thanks to Superprof.Ensure that the thread is tight enough to pull the two inlays together and the fabric isnât creased. You then need to do the second overlock stitch. The second overlock stitch is really the first complete overlock stitch since the first starts at the centre of the two pieces. To do your second overlock stitch and learn to sew correctly, you need to start again by going around the edge of the pieces of fabric and stitch the two pieces together to get back onto the right side. The two stitches need to be slightly spaced out but close enough so that the stitching remains solid. This could be between 3mm or 4mm.Once the second stitch has been done, you need to ensure the spacing remains the same for the rest of the seam. Do this along the stitching and finish with a half stitch. This allows you to hide the end of the stitching. Once youâve finished, you just need to pull the needle through and cut your thread. Finally, donât hesitate to marvel at your own work. To make the stitching solid, you can also do a double overlock stitch. In this case, you just need to do the same again but in the opposite direction. The stitching will look like little crosses on the fabric. This can take more time but itâll make your stitchin g last longer. Itâll last even longer if you use embroidery thread.Make sure you learn how to do a felled seam, too!Overlock Stitches with a Sewing MachineDoing an overlock stitch with a sewing machine is really easy since most sewing machines have an overlock stitch setting.A sewing machine will help a lot! (Source: wnk1029)You just need to put the two pieces of fabric with a pin as you would for sewing by hand. Once this is ready, you just need to move the fabric through the machine and let it do all the work.Working with elastic materials? You may want a zig-zag stitch! How Can You Learn to Do an Overlock Stitch? An overlock stitch may seem quite technical at first but itâs quite easy to learn. You can teach yourself how to do an overlock stitch without a sewing machine. You donât need a lot of equipment. Of course, if you have an overlock machine, this will be really easy, but itâs not essential. To practise how to sew or overcast, you just need to grab some offcuts or scrap s and practise. You can also find videos online guiding you through the technique.By doing two or three seams with different materials, youâll get a good idea of how an overlock stitch works and youâll master it. It doesnât matter that youâre a beginner. Motivation is the most important thing for learning how to sew without a machine. There are also sewing workshops in haberdasheries where you can get a few hours of tuition a month. It might be worth checking out if you're looking for a tutorial on a particular technique. You can also get in touch with private sewing tutor and learn techniques like zig-zag stitches, sewing buttonholes, making hems, doing a French seam, straight stitch, backstitch, etc. There are plenty of tutors offering sewing tutorials on Superprof and there are three main types of tutorial on offer: face-to-face tutorials, online tutorials, and group tutorials.Face-to-face tutorials involve a private tutor and one student. Since you're getting tailored tuiti on, you can expect to pay a premium for it. However, these types of tutorials are also the most cost-effective since every minute of the tutor's time is used helping you, unlike in a group class or a workshop.Online tutorials are similar except that your tutor isn't physically there. Thanks to the internet, webcams, and programmes like Skype, students can learn from tutors all over the world. Since these tutors don't have to travel, they can charge less for the tutorial. However, these types of tutorials tend to be better for theoretical subjects rather than practical subjects like sewing.Group tutorials are the cheapest per student per hour since the cost of the tutor's time is shared amongst all the students attending the tutorial. Unfortunately, you won't get as much one-on-one time with your tutor but if you and a group of friends all want to learn how to sew, this is probably one of the best ways to do it.

Direct Variation Definition
Direct Variation Definition Direct variation definition is that two variables are related in such a way that when one variable changes then the other variable changes in proportion. In simple words, direct variation shows the relationship between two variables which is expressed by an equation. Direct variation is a special case of linear equation. If A is directly proportional to B, then the equation is A= k* B where k is a constant. Problem 1: If y varies directly as x, and y =18 when x = 12, find k and write equation. Solution: Given: y varies directly as x that means y is directly proportional to x = So, the equation is y = k x = The values of x =12 when y =18 = Plug in the values and solve for k = The equation is y = k x = 18 = k * 12 = Then k = 18 /12 = 3/2 = Thus, the value of k = 3/2 = Now, go back to equation y= k x and substitute k = 3/2 = The required equation is y = (3/2) x Problem 2: In a factory, the profit, P, varies directly with the inventory, I. If P = 200 when I = 40. Find P when I = 50. Solution: Since P varies directly with inventory l = The equation is P = k*l = We use given set of data to get value of constant k. = If p=200 when l = 40 then 200 = k * 40 = K = 200/40 = 5 = Now, Find P when l = 50 = P = k*l = P = 5 * 50 = 250

Concrete Nouns
Concrete Nouns Concrete Nouns Concrete nouns are defined as nouns that are connected with our sensory experiences, touch, sight, smell, sound and taste. A long list of nouns that come under this category as because there a number of things which we experience through our senses, such as flowers, food, song of the birds, a full moon night, etc. Abstract Nouns Abstract nouns, as the name suggests, cannot be comprehended by sight, hearing, touch, smell or taste. They are felt through feelings or emotions, these are again numerous; some examples of abstract nouns are, adoration, aversion, fear, etc. The table given below gives a list of concrete nouns and abstract nouns; it clearly shows the difference between two types of nouns. You can see from the above list a teacher is a person who is visible to our eyes, while we are unable to see, touch or smell courage or loyalty. Example: 1. My Smart Phone has a beautiful ring tone. 2. My teacher is very articulate and can talk on any subject. Why do we need to know the difference between a concrete and an abstract noun? Experts say a well written essay; blog needs to contain both types of nouns, concrete and abstract. If we use too many abstract nouns the writing becomes difficult and incomprehensible and if we use too many concrete nouns the writing becomes dull and uninteresting. Judicious use of both concrete and abstract nouns helps the reader to both enjoy and understand the ideas expressed. Categories of Concrete Nouns: Concrete Nouns are subdivided into four types: 1) Proper Noun: Nouns that are names of specific person and places, e.g. Jerry, or France 2) Common Noun: Names that are given too many things and places, e.g. a city or a flower. 3) Material Noun: Names of specific substance, e.g. iron, uranium, etc. 4) Collective Noun: Names given to a group of things or people, e.g. army, flock of birds, herd of cattle. Countable and Non Countable Nouns Countable nouns are nouns that can be counted, e.g. a flower (a single flower) and flowers, (many flowers). Countable nouns can be both singular and plural as seen from the above example. Non countable nouns cannot be counted, e.g. air, rice, or cream, etc. It is not possible to give a detailed list of concrete nouns; however, the following list gives some idea of concrete nouns that are used frequently. Concrete Nouns List Animals Clothes Buildings Eatables Furniture dinosaur Evening Gown House Pizza Computer Table squirrel Stocking Apartment Salad Queen Bed Shark Shirt Museum Roasted duck Dressing Table Cow Tie Houses of Parliament clair Easy Chairs Elephant Tee shirt Cottage Fruit salad Book case Rat Jeans Mansion Red Wine Lamp Hen Socks Beach House Biscuits Dining chairs Concrete nouns are used both in a general and specific way, in a singular and plural forms, and as Proper and common nouns. Choosing Your Guitar Strings a Guide
Choosing Your Guitar Strings a Guide The Different Types of Guitar Strings and Which Ones to Choose ChaptersWhy Change the Strings? For What Reasons? How are Guitar Strings Made? But What is Pulling the String?Advice From a Professional Guitarist on Choosing the Right Guitar StringsWhich Truss Rod is the Best for Me?Some Brands of Guitar Strings.Other Accessories for Changing Your Guitar Strings. Now that you know all about the different types of guitars and buying your first guitar, letâs looks at the different types of strings and which ones to choose. For now, if you have just bought your guitar, you will benefit from the original strings sold with this guitar. These are most likely the strings of the manufacturer. However, these original strings are not immortal. The fateful moment when itâs necessary to change the strings will arrive and a new headache begins.Which strings should you choose before learning the guitar? What are the different types? What are their differences in sound? Is it necessary to change the strings before each guitar lesson? We will first address the condit ions that cause a set of strings to wear out more or less quickly and push you to change them.We will then go into detail about the different materials used in the making of a guitar string, as well as technical explanations allowing you to make your decision according to your research and your style. Then, we'll look at some of the best brands - for electric guitar strings, acoustic guitar strings, classical guitar strings, and bass guitar strings. This is absolutely necessary knowledge for anyone looking to play guitar. You can't call yourself a guitar player if you don't know how to look after your musical instrument! There are many reasons to change your strings, and these are different depending on the guitar and of course the guitarist himself. Some guitarists change their strings every month, others at each concert. And some at each guitar lesson.Still, others have no qualms about keeping their strings for more than a year despite playing for hours and taking guitar lessons nea r me. We don't recommend this at all - as the quality of your acoustic strings or electric strings affects the quality of the string sound and the instrument's sound: better strings gives the instrument a louder sound, one more balanced between treble, mid, and bass ranges, and one that is brighter.Out of all the guitar gear, the strings are almost the most important. More important than the guitar amp or the tremolo bar. Clapton wouldn't have been Clapton with no strings - nor would a Stratocaster be a Strat if stringless!Let's go through some of the reasons why you might want to change strings. One, or More, Guitar String BreaksFor that reason, there is no argument that holds up. It is not a choice, but an obligation - because a guitar without 6 strings does not play to its full potential. Stringed instruments have x many strings for a reason; it's just daft to keep playing your guitar without them all.It also damages your guitar. Your classic guitar and its guitar neck is built to withstand a high tension, or a slightly more low tension depending on the instrument. Regardless, when it is left without the balanced tension, you are putting strain on the neck. Do this for too long, and you are heading to the guitar shop for a new guitar.Wear and tear on the strings is inevitable in the long run. Indeed, our natural sweating often leads the strings to oxidize and therefore become more fragile. This means that they will be weakening, they will break, and you will need a string change. The fact that a string breaks is nothing to worry about. It will usually be the first string. You will just have to proceed to buy a new set of strings. But which one? Weâll cover that in the rest of the article.Oxidation of the Guitar StringsEach guitarist has a different degree of sweating, causing the oxidation of the strings. This sweat is actually corrosive - and you'll find that your steel guitar strings will rust. Therefore, the strings are much less pleasant to the touch , and in terms of sound. (By the way, even if you don't have a steel string guitar, you'll still have steel wire in your strings. Even nylon string guitars have steel.)However, there are strings (a little more expensive than the average price of guitar strings) equipped with a special coating that can slow down and avoid oxidation. Look for corrosion resistant strings - and you'll find that these are more durable.Itâs a good alternative for people like me (a guitar teacher) who can use their strings during a concert or for several guitar lessons near me.How are Guitar Strings Made?Despite the fact that guitar strings are all made out of the same elements, they can, however, be composed of different materials. The guitar strings are composed of what is called: the core, the thread, and the sheath. The Core of a Guitar String The core of the guitar string is the main piece of the string. It can be either hexagonal or circular. It can be comprised of different materials like steel, nyl on or nickel. The Thread of a Guitar String The thread of the guitar string is the secondary thread that comes wrapping around the core of the string. There are also several different types of thread, such as round thread (as shown in the picture above) or flat thread. We call these latter ones 'flat wound' strings. The Sheath of a Guitar String More and more strings are wrapped. The manufacturer applies a thin layer of synthetic materials either on the string or on the thread to protect the string and improve its lifespan.Another element needs to be taken into account in terms of playability. Itâs the truss rod. This is directly related to help in the playing of the guitar. Here's a short video to show you the beauty of playing guitar strings. Also, discover how to buy your first guitarâ¦But What is Pulling the String? The truss rod corresponds with the diameter of the strings. ⢠The larger the diameter, the tighter the string, the more it resonates and the harder it is to play. W e call these 'hard tension' strings. ⢠The smaller the diameter, the string is less tight, it resonates less and is easier to play. We call these 'soft tension' strings. An example of a standard electric guitar string set is .010/.046 The thinnest string measures 0.010 inches = 0.025 cm. The thickest string measures 0.046 inches = 0.11 cm.For electric guitars, the truss rods range from 8-38 to 13-36, and the most common are usually 9-42 or 10-46.An example of a standard acoustic guitar string set is .012/ .054New acoustic guitars are equipped with âlightâ strings (12/54). This is the most used truss rod and is suited for most cases. The thinnest string measures 0.012 inches = 0.030 cm. The thickest string measures 0.054 inches = 0.13 cm.For folk guitars, the standard truss rod is usually 12-53, with the truss rods ranging from 10-47 to 14-59.For a classical guitar, things are often simpler since many brands only offer 2 choices: a ânormalâ truss rod or a âstrongâ truss rod.It is necessary to choose a truss rod according to your guitar, the style that you play, and for beginners the strength and size of your fingers. I advise you to choose guitar strings that are quite hard and avoid the extra-light ones to get a sound with more body. This is an important point, because, whilst soft tension strings are easier to play, the sound of the guitar improves - it is richer at the low end and throughout the ranges.String tension and string material are some of the more important parts of a guitarist's tone. And you would never put a light set of strings on a dreadnought. Different guitars - and different guitarists - require different gauge strings.Which Truss Rod is the Best for Me?You should understand that the truss rod corresponds with the diameter of the strings and therefore to the playability according to its level and the desired sound. To choose your truss rod when you are in the process of learning how to play the guitar, donât hesitate to ask y our guitar teacher for advice - about truss rods or about how to select the best guitar strap.Classical Guitar⢠A weak truss rod: Ideal for starting on a classical guitar. ⢠A strong truss rod: Ideal if you are experienced and looking for something more versatile.Electric Guitar⢠Extra light (010-047): Suited for beginners and are easier to play. ⢠Light (011 â" 052): Also ideal for beginners and corresponds to more types of styles. They offer more bass and resonance. ⢠Regular (012 â" 053): Suited for an experienced player seeking a more pronounced resonance.Acoustic Folk⢠Extra light (010-047): Suited for beginners and are easier to play. ⢠Light (011 â" 052): Also ideal for beginners and corresponds to more types of styles. ⢠Regular (012 â" 053): Suited for an experienced player seeking a more pronounced resonance.Guitar String Materials: Sound and LongevityThe guitar strings' sound and longevity are directly related to the materials used to make your guitar strings. These can be silk and steel, plain steel, phosphor bronze, bronze alloy, black nylon, or pure nickel - to name just a fewJoin the discussion: which is the ideal instrument for the beginner guitarist to learn on?Stainless SteelA lot of guitar strings are made out of stainless steel. The sound they make is clear and brilliant, but they are more fragile than nickel strings.PhosphorThe presence of phosphor in guitar strings gives a warmer sound. The greater the quantity of phosphor, the better the quality of sound.NickelNickel strings have a rather hot and dull sound, without much brilliance. They are also more flexible than steel strings.BronzeThe presence of bronze gives the string a brighter and more metallic soundNylonNylon strings are mainly used for classical guitars. The sound is brilliant.CopperCopper makes it possibly to obtain better quality basses. Now go in-depth on when and how to change your guitar strings...Learn how to master your guitar strings! All you h ave to do now is take this information into account and direct yourself to the string set that suits you best. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to turn to our SuperPROF guitar teachers. They are equipped to help you make progress in your guitar learning. Some Brands of Guitar Strings. There are plenty of brands out there, offering everything from banjo strings to specific strings for the mandolin, jazz guitar, lap steel guitar, and for flamenco. However, when you are looking at strings for the electro acoustic, acoustic, or any mainstream type of guitar, you'll be looking for a few less names.Primarily, for electric guitarists, try Elixir (with the Elixir Nanoweb), Dean Markley, Dr Strings, Jim Dunlop, and Ernie Ball Slinky. All of these are incredibly reliable names that are manufactured well and won't let you down. They make strings in all different gauges- from ultra thin to heavy. For players of the electric bass try Rotosound. For classical and acoustic players, get yourse lf some D'Addario, which are probably the best acoustic guitar strings. These are very well respected strings - and they make good quality nylon guitar strings and steel ones too.Other Accessories for Changing Your Guitar Strings. Now, bass strings and the best electric guitar strings are really easy to manage. Maybe some pliers or wire cutters - to chop off the end of the string once it is attached. And you could even get one of the guitar string winders, something by Planet Waves perhaps. Five Tips to Help Your Teen Be Successful
Five Tips to Help Your Teen Be Successful Oradell, NJ When your child starts kindergarten, college and the real world probably seem ages away. But those 12 years go quickly, and the preparation for life should begin sooner than later. Eileen Huntington of Huntington Learning Center explains that while school is obviously very important, there are many aptitudes beyond the academic that children will need for college and life. As a parent, your goal should be to equip your child with life skills that he or she will use forever, she says. Academic abilities are essential, but there is so much more that your child needs. Huntington offers several tips on how parents can get their children ready for a successful life after high school: Teach them basic money management skills. An allowance is a great way to get children to grasp the concept of earning and accumulating money from a young age. Make sure you give your child opportunities to understand the value of money as well. Talk about what it means to earn a living and live within your means. When you go to the grocery store, bring your child along to comparison shop brands and items. Establish a family budget and show your child how you manage your income and expenses to it and save for various things. Talk careers early and often. Its never too early for parents to start asking their children what type of career sound interesting. Encourage your child to talk with the adults in his or her life about how they got to where they are. As your child gets closer to high school, do research together on what strengths (academic and otherwise) might translate into different career possibilities. Dont solve your childs problems. Life and school have ups and downs. Children need to know how to approach problems methodically and with confidence and optimism. Be there to support your child, but dont step in and fix problems. Encourage your child to take responsibility and ownership for schooland all that comes with it. Teach your child how to think critically. In everyday conversation, parents can teach their children to be curious and inquisitive. Invite your child to share with you how he or she analyzes problems and comes up with a variety of alternate solutions. When your child shows you homework, ask how your child came up with answers and what steps were taken to get there. Show your child how to be resourceful. In college and the real world, people are expected to figure things out sometimes. Your child will often be faced with periods of uncertainty and times when he or she is asked to do something completely new. Help your child nurture this ability by encouraging perseverance through challenges and creativity when one attempt is unsuccessful. Support your child as a well-rounded person, says Huntington. Vital life skills like problem-solving and creativity will take your child further in life than many other things. Spelling Struggles and ADHD
Spelling Struggles and ADHD Many kids with ADHD struggle with spelling problems. They have difficulty learning to spell new words, may take longer to think through how to spell a word and write it down on the page, and make mistakes spelling simple words that they had previously memorized. In fact, studies have shown that kids with ADHD are even likely to make spelling mistakes when they copy words verbatim. Unfortunately, kids with ADHD who struggle with spelling are often perceived as not caring about the quality of their work, or being too lazy to double check for errors. In reality, one of the primary executive functioning components involved in spelling working memory - is impaired in many kids with ADHD. As a result, kids with ADHD will make more spelling mistakes than kids without ADHD even when they are trying to do their best work. In addition, having ADHD makes it harder to identify spelling mistakes during proofreading, so traditional strategies for double checking work may not be very effective. While spelling struggles may be a lifelong challenge for many kids with ADHD, there are strategies that can help. Commit words to memory using creative strategies. Making spelling an automatic process whenever possible wont eliminate spelling problems, but it will help cut down on errors. Basic, repetitive memorization strategies are often not very effective for kids with ADHD. Instead, try incorporating tactile activities. Allow your child to use magnetic letters to spell words or write words with his or her fingers in a tray of sand or on a cutting board covered in baking flour. If you have more time, allow your child to use clay to form letter shapes and spell out words. Encourage your child to read. In general, the more kids read the better they will become at spelling. If your child is a reluctant reader, supplement required reading assignments with fun reading activities. These can be things like reading comic books, having someone read aloud while he or she follows along, or visiting websites with articles on his or her favorite topics. Allow your child to type words instead of handwriting them. Spelling is a complex process, and some kids with ADHD have difficulty with the physical process of handwriting letters to form word lists and at least some of his or her assignments. Consider talking to your childs teacher about getting an accommodation that will allow your child to turn in homework assignments that were completed on a computer. Use Text to Speech readers and spell checkers as proofreading tools. Basic proofreading is a challenge for kids with ADHD, but technology can help. Spell checkers will catch many spelling errors, and Text to Speech readers will identify even more spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. Text to Speech programs will read aloud the words that your child has typed onto the page. Your child will be able to hear when a word sounds incorrect, or is used is the wrong context. There are many free Text to Speech readers, like NaturalReader, available online. Consider testing for learning problems. If your childs spelling challenges are severe and/or are accompanied by reading delays and other writing problems, then consider requesting a learning evaluation from your childs school, an educational therapist, or a psychologist. Its possible that a reading or writing disorder is driving the problem, and targeted interventions can help. Spelling struggles can be frustrating for kids with ADHD, but with patience, practice, and a little help from technology, your childs spelling can improve over time. ABOUT DR. 5 tips for stress-free homework
5 tips for stress-free homework Homework is one of those things that children hate and parents seem to dread. It can be the cause of family arguments and anxiety in those faced with it. But homework doesn't have to be full of stress. With a well-planned after school routine and a few of our simple tips, you can turn homework into something natural and a time for some extra learning whilst giving your children a sense of accomplishment. 1. Have a daily homework routine Homework should very much be part of a normal daily routine, much like making sure your children brush their teeth, have their supper and have a standard bed-time. If you incorporate homework into your child's daily routine, it will no longer be seen as a chore but something that they naturally do everyday. Having a homework calendar is a great idea. Many children have different after school activities at different times during the after-school day. Having a calendar that highlights the time each day your child should be doing their homework will help them get organised; all children feel more settled when they have a routine. Children should have a break when they first get home from school or an after-school club, before delving into more school-work. Allow your child to have their snack or even their dinner and then have a time where they can sit and do their homework. Other activities such as watching television or playing on a mobile device should be saved for after their homework is completed so that they are aware that study comes before play time. 2. Be helpful but don't do it for them There will be many times when your child will need some guidance when it comes to doing their homework. Always have a positive attitude and try to explain difficult problems without giving them the answer. Believing that your child is capable of completing difficult tasks will ensure that they believe they can do it too. Encourage your child to do their own research, guiding them along the way if necessary. Give examples where possible and tell them stories that are significant to their work to give them some ideas. Go through any mistakes they may have made and practice problems with them until you are sure they have understood whilst always encouraging them to discover the answers for themselves. 3. Allow breaks when needed Children should not be expected to sit for long periods of time without taking a brain break. We all know that both adults and children have a certain concentration span and taking a break when needed is of vital importance to their study time. If your child has a lot of homework in one evening try breaking it up and allowing them a snack or a ten-minute time-out in between. Children generally come home hungry from school so having a snack prepared for them or even a full dinner can mean an easier and smoother afternoon. Try to avoid too much sugar in their snacks as this can cause a mood crash a short while later. Instead go for healthy fruit or yoghurt snacks. If your child doesn't need a snack but needs a break you could always just have a chat and a good laugh together, have a bit of fun doing some silly exercises like star-jumps or play a quick game together to reduce the stress and give your child some extra energy. 4. Have a homework station Making sure your child has their own private place where they can sit and do their homework without being distracted is also extremely important. A child that sometimes does their homework on the kitchen table or on their bedroom floor will not feel comfortable and homework will almost certainly feel like a chore. If, however, your child has a regular homework station they will feel better about the work they are faced with and it will help them get into a better routine. A homework station can be a desk in their room or a study and should feel like a place where homework can be done comfortably. Homework stations should be stocked with any necessary tools for their various homework assignments, such as dictionaries, pens, pencils, notebooks, rulers, glue, highlighter pens, scissors etc. That way your child will not have to keep leaving their desk to go and find things that they need. It is a great way to make sure homework is done in a shorter space of time whilst making your child feel comfortable. 5. Keep distractions away Distractions of any sort can be the cause of homework stress and delays. Making sure your child does not have access to any mobile devices, loud televisions or noisy siblings will take away any temptations to stop doing their work and ensure they have the quiet they need to complete their work well. To Conclude Homework may not always be something fun but it does not have to be a chore or the cause of continuous arguments. Following our simple tips will ensure that homework becomes part of your child's daily routine and something that they no longer dread. Make sure you always praise your child for their efforts and be there to support them when they need some help and homework will become a normal part of their day.
